This mornings weigh in....

243-Which I am totally happy with. I made about 50% healthy choices this week and exercised, I just need to up that percentage of healthy choices. 

I woke up nice and early (530am!) and did a mile run on the treadmill and some arm weights.



I really need to figure out a weightlifting routine. I just don't know what to do and don't really have someone to go with me/can't afford a trainer.  I found decent routines online, especially this Simply Shredded but I just worry doing it by myself.  I have no fear of the weight room or looking new, I just have it in my head I need a spotter or something? I think it is just my way of avoiding it.

 So far in December I have gotten 2 workouts in and I am at 90 minutes of my 1350 goal :)

December- Goals & Giveaway !

And just like that it is December... I know everyone says it but as I get older time moves so fast, I feel like this year just begun yet it is almost New Years??

I had a good Thanksgiving, hanging out with family, eating lots of food and drinking lots of wine :) I also got a good amount of activity in this weekend.  I hit the goal of 75 miles which was AWESOME. I'm really good at making goals but not so much at actually hitting them. But I keep on  setting them. 

December's Goals
Hit 1350 minutes of exercise
Run/Walk 45 Miles
Make drinking water a priority
Log all food & stay at calorie goal +/-200

Weigh in Wednesday!

Weigh In Wednesday 

I had a decent week exercise wise.  I am trying to get 75 miles in by the end of the month for a challenge & still plugging away at my 1350 minute goal but I am not sure that will happen this month.  Tracking my food and staying at my goal is always a struggle but I am working on it, I only hit it twice this week but its a start :) Follow me on My Fitness Pal:Healthysew!

 I was happy with the 1.6 pounds lost this week.  

This is my Carrot app. It makes me laugh because it will yell at you when you gain weight and has a 7 minute workout option.  I like it and it helps motivate me. 
I am excited for Thanksgiving tomorrow to spend time with family.  I am planning on doing the #wiwturkeyday5k Thanksgiving 5k hosted by Ash, Heather & Erin :) so I will get a good workout in the morning and hope to have all the food I want in moderation.

Um. Hi :)

Soooo I haven't posted in well over a year.  I kept putting it off basically because of fear and not wanting to face the facts. Then I remembered the purpose of blogging is to document my journey, nothing else.

A lot of things has happened in the last year in my life, yet some things are totally the same.

I graduated college with my Bachelors degree :)


I tore two tendons in my ankle and severely bruised the bone :(


I turned 28 :)

And I havent lost any real weight.

I weighed in Wednesday at 242 pounds.  I'm not putting a sad face though, because I am proud of my journey.

This year I ran a mile without stopping,


 I survive Insanity classes without quitting on a  regular basis, and I can do a 4 minute wall sit.

Life is full of ups and downs and without those I would get bored and complacent.

One of my favorite bloggers, Elle Noel posted about the Piles on the Miles Challenge by Monica at Run Eat Repeat.  Basically you pledge a goal, it can be miles, minutes, times a week, whatever you want to do.
