27 Before 27

My birthday was Wednesday, yay! I turned 26, I feel no-where close to where I thought I would be at 26. Since I love lists I made a list of things I would like to accomplish before my next birthday, october 10th, 2013.
  1. Weigh in or under 150 pounds.
  2. Pay off all debt in full, except student loans & grandparents loan.
  3. Have an emergency fund of at least 1000 dollars.
  4. Run three 5k's with at least one under 45 minutes.
  5. Complete the Insanity challenge.
  6. Read 100 books (document).
  7. Go to confession at least twice.
  8. Do 5 consecutive pull ups.
  9. Go on a road trip.
  10. Call my grandparents more.
  11. Successfully complete 2 classes a semester with a B or higher.
  12. Eat vegan for a week.
  13. Complete a Tough Mudder/Warrior Dash, something to that effect.
  14. Get a tattoo with my brother.
  15. Learn to successfully change a tire.
  16. Get a professional massage.
  17. Buy a brand new mattress.
  18. Grow real nails.
  19. Check in with a therapist.
  20. Do job audit-move up.
  21. Have all old documents scanned at work.
  22. Take professional CPR/emergency class.
  23. Create something.. whether it be a painting, clay, poem..
  24. Take a picture every single day.
  25. Get professional make-up lessons.
  26. Be a healthy person.
  27. Be a happy person.
It is kind of a random group of things, in no particular order.  I am excited to complete them all.  I know some are slightly immeasurable, but at least things I want to keep in mind.  A few might be a little lofty considering my current state, but I want to at least work towards them. I'd like to review these on the 10th of every month.

What are some goals you'd like to accomplish before your next birthday?

  1. I love the list.. like a bucket list but for the year rather than life. Seems like a great way to be held more accountable! Good luck on acheiving all of your goals! You can do it!

  2. This is great! I am going to be 26 on the 26th of October so maybe I will make a "27 Before 27" too! Love this idea!

  3. Thanks Ladies! I much prefer using my birthday as the "beginning" of a new year instead of new years. Helps keep me motivated for my birthday!

  4. I love this list, Sonya! What a great idea! I think I might steal this idea for myself! And to review it once a month, so smart!
