Happy Monday

Time for another weekend shenanigans! As always go check out Sami and everyone's weekend shenanigans!

Sami's Shenanigans

Friday was usual work day. Ready for alcohol nice and early, so of course I had to send a snap chat. After work I went to the Y with a friend and did some weights and then attempted to run outside, but it was way too hot for me. Not sure how you guys do it! Then Friday night some friends came over and we did some drinking and watched Anchorman. Good night!


Saturday was lots of napping! Then later I went to BW3 with my brother and got a massive amount of food, i shared of course. Then we saw R.I.P.D. it didn't get great reviews but I thought it was good. Love Ryan Reynolds.


Sunday was out for breakfast! Then some grocery shopping. More naps and then an awesome run! I did my fastest miles so far 16.09. Still crazy slow but big improvement for me and that's all that matters! Then lunch prep for the week: quinoa, avocado, tomato & chicken. Hopefully its yummy!


All in all I had a great weekend, here's to a good week!

Monday Update

Time for another Weekend Update with Sami !


Sami's Shenanigans

I had an excellent weekend filled with family and fun times, of course zero exercise and the scale showed that..

But lets go back to Thursday.. I did not really have fun plans for the actual 4th since we had family stuff planned for the weekend. But I did get in a 5k wog as virtual stars & strips 5k. It wasn't a great run for me, I felt super drowsy and sick the whole time, but I got it done!


Friday I weighed in for my challenge... at 238.4!! Which was awesome and definitely the result of my hard work last week.

This is pretty intricate for me so I was psyched.
 
Saturday was the family party, spent most of the time drinking and having fun with family I don't get to see too often. Of course I only got a couple of pictures.
 
 



Sunday was spent cleaning and trying to get water in. I weighed in this morning and it was 244!! Hopefully that falls off quickly with lots of water and exercise this week. I cant let 2 days ruin my great week!

Same old thing with me, I have been working out sporadically and eating tends to follow. I do really well like Sunday-Wednesday but unfortunately my bad eating and lack of exercise over shadows that.

Update, Weigh in Wednesday & "The Mary Kay Look: Influenster!

Oh my goodness, I had big plans to do this awesome weekend update post on Monday and update my weekly goals and all the jazz. Then I was sick Monday.. and Tuesday was spent playing catch up, so here we are.

So this will be a long post and hopefully some of y'all make it to the end!

Lets start with the weekend.

Friday was normal work day, came home and this was in my mail...


My first infleunster box! If you aren't familiar, Influenster is a fun company that sends out products to testers who then give their opinions and share on various social media. I was so excited for this opportunity and will share my thoughts tomorrow!

Friday night I spent some time with friends and went and saw The End. This movie was hysterical! Even if I was slightly intoxicated I really thought it was a funny movie.

Saturday went to a water park with the family. It was a man made lake with kayaks and zip lining and a bar!



I've rotated those darn pics three times and they wont stay! So you get sideways pictures :)

Summer Lovin

Reading everyone's posts is making me super jealous! A bunch of you get to meet up and have slumber parties, vacations and all around fun plans. Meanwhile I take a statistics class for 5 hours a night for 8 weeks!!!!!

Oh well I'll survive. My goals for this summer is to continue to exercise and be healthy.
At the end of the summer I hope I....
Ran a 5k without stopping
Gotten some pedicures :)
Laid on a beach.. or sand by a lake
Saw fireworks
Soaked in a lot of time with family
Saw a baseball game
Took a billion pictures
Eaten a lot of ice cream
Laid out by a pool
Visited the zoo
Be happy :)

And yes I made it pink because this is pretty artsy for me.

Last week I had my fastest mile ever! At 16:35 it certainly wasn't Olympic qualifying but it felt so good to me! I usually run around 18 mile and improve every time. I had a really bad run that had me feel sad before that so it was definitely an awesome feeling!


I did not workout last I was just too darn tired & hot. No excuses but just the truth,

Goals for the Week!

As always I am a day late & a dollar short!! But I wanted to check in with the  the lovely Jess for my weekly goals!

Well...... Monday-Thursday I did great with my food & my exercise then the weekend came...And I only blogged once! I am going to encounter the dreaded weekend every single week so I need to plan for it and act accordingly.
 
Last Thursday I did do an Insanity class at my YMCA and that was awesome! I did it with two friends for work and it was a killer workout, I was sore all weekend.
 
Goals for this week...
 
Workout 5 of the next 7 days.
Log all my food except Saturday.
Blog 3 times.
 
I have a plan for my exercising and eating and even my blogging! As long as I stay focused I will do great!

Weekend Shenanigans & Weekly Goals

Friday was the usual, worked all day then helped check-in for a graduation ceremony. Went home and my Ipsy bag was there! Then I  moaned and groaned until I stopped being lazy and did Ripped in 30, level 2 because I hate the running man!

 


Saturday my parents and I went to Amish Country to walk around and check out Rolling Ridge. It is this fun thing where you ride a wagon around and all kinds of animals come up to the wagon and you feed them. It was a lot of fun! I had some good photos of the animals but Blogger keeps uploading them sideways so i don't know what the deal is.

Then Sunday was mothers day! My momma got me a card from my dog, Belle. She is my baby! So that was super sweet. Once again blogger won't upload the picture correctly.

Then we went to Bed Bath & Beyond and got a fun shelf thing to help organize my room.

It was a fun weekend!

Whew.. its Monday!

Oh my goodness. It has been three weeks since my last post! Thank you to all who are still around!

School got the better of me and has been taking most of my energy. This is finals week and then I have three weeks with no classes where I can refocus and get my schedule back!

Not too much to report, I literally have been just working on stuff for classes and working.

I have not worked out much at all and even quit logging on mfp, but I am back today with a new calendar and logging my food.


Here is the calendar from this morning. It has my Mind over Munch V Sit Challenge and Get your Ass in the Gym workouts. I also plan to do the rocking abs with my MLFC girls and hopefully a DVD or some run/walk.

Thank you soooo much to Lena B Actually who sponsored my giveaway and got me some new followers :) Unfortunately it wasn't fab timing since I was AWOL for a bit but I am hoping to be back!

That is pretty much it, I am hoping to have a Day in the Life post up tomorrow since I got one ready almost 3 weeks ago!!!

Weigh in Wednesday

This has been a good week for me. I started Insanity last week, did the fit test last Wednesday and then picked up the workouts again on Saturday.  I really like it. I take a lot of break & modify somethings but I can definitely feel myself improving. Taking a rest tonight and will do day six tomorrow. 

Weighed in this morning at 239.4 and since it is TOM and I didn't track calories well last week I am happy with that number. Can't wait to see what next week holds!

Going grocery shopping tomorrow and that always helps keep me in line. When I have  good supply of healthy and yummy food it is easier for me to stick to the plan and not eat out.  I also have noticed I do well when I pre plan my food in my fitness pal for the next day.  Going on three days strong! :)

Weigh in Wednesday

After my great week last week, I did what I always do I eat whatever I want.. However I did keep getting my exercises in so that's good. My running has not been awesome lately and I am pretty sure I need new shoes. I do plan on getting new ones next week, but i was hoping I could make it work. after my run last night I am not so sure. So this morning I decided to do Insanity! Again, I know. I did the fit test.

Of course I compared my results to the first time I tried Insanity and my number were mostly lower, so that was annoying. I am attributing that it to be early and being sore this morning. Either way its a good number to start with and progress :)

After my horrible run last night I did what any normal person would do.. I went to McDonald's for dinner, smart move I know. So I decided not to weigh in this morning and stress myself out, so no number this week. 

Anyway that is all I have for you this week, hopefully I keep up with Insanity and get my new shoes this week!

My purse is coach. I just got in about a month ago and I'm in love. I had had wristlets before but this is my first purse.

Shockingly my purse was pretty clean, not any trash or receipts, clearly I cleaned it out recently.

I don't carry a real makeup bag with me but this little bag has lip smacker, blistex, mirror, lotion & mini tooth brushes.

I love seeing everyone's purses so this was super fun to do.

  1. My younger brother is 7 years younger then me and is kinda my fave :)
  2. I will finally graduate college next summer! Only took me 8 years!
  3. I have a 4 year old beagle/lab and she is my whole world. I love that dog more then anything

I love that it is a small town but still has stuff to do.

Hmmm.. If I didn't have to worry about money? I'd totally work at a day care! I love working with kids but I need a decent living.

I had a lot of fun last December when I went to Myrtle Beach with a friend and got to meet up with my grandma!
4. What is something quirky about you that not a lot of people know?
I'm not sure anything about me is much of a secret :) I still sleep with my blanket from when I was little. Not my original one because some jerk stole that from me in preschool! But this was the replacement. OH I also watch kid shows every night to fall asleep. Weird I know.

I could probably name a bunch but one of them is Legally Blonde.  I could honestly watch that movie on repeat.

Collin Ferrel!

Cooked peas!

I'm not picky, I like to eat :) I love a good steakhouse, mexican, chipotle!

Hmm. I'm not a huge ice cream person. I have been loving this Lemonade/Black Cherry frozen yogurt though.

This has been a great week for me all around. Since last Tuesday I have tracked all my calories and stayed under except for Monday. That fact alone makes me very proud of myself and happy. I have also done Jillian once, and did C25K four times!! I also started a daily challenge with a facebook group
Get Your Ass in the Gym! Check them out & tell them I sent you :). Basically they have a calendar they post and you do the workout of the day. I am loving it so far.

With all my hard work I was anxious this morning to step on the scale....



This is 1.6 pounds down from last Wednesday.. I am not going to lie at first I was a little disappointed, I was hoping for a more dramatic, bigger number. Then I reminded myself I certainly did not gain this weight in a week, it isn't going to go away that quickly either. Its funny when someone else loses a pound you get so excited and congratulate them but when it is you, you are annoyed. I am happy though. It is not even about that number or the scale. I worked hard this week and nothing can take that away from me.

Erin's diet bet was over this week and I did not win. Shocker :) But I am in another one that started last week & I have high hopes. Congrats to everyone who is in this one and met their goal!

Happy Friday


Linking up with my girl Laura from The Everday Joys. She had a beautiful baby boy this week, Congrats Laura!! The purpose of this linkup is to share positive things that have happened to you lately. I am all about positivity so I love this link up. 

Numero Uno... I went running twice this week....TWO TIMES! That is great for me and I am excited to continue on with the C25K program.

Numero Dos... I have tracked my calories three days in a row!! this is also wonderful since I have had trouble with that lately.

Numero Tres... It is FRIDAY! I know that comes every week but it is still pretty positive.

Numero Cuatro... My doctors appointment went extremely well this week. I have been very anxious about it since I wasn't losing the weight like the doctor wanted. He was positive and supportive and acknowledged it isn't an easy thing, just wants to see more progress next time. Wayyyy better then I expected.

Numero Cinco... My friends! Fellow bloggers, my IG friends, Girls on MLFC have been so supportive and great to me, its so amazing to have that kind of love and encouragement from people I have never met in purpose. Makes me all warm & fuzzy :)

I have a lot to be happy and thankful for but I'll leave it at that.

Weigh in Wednesday

So I haven't written a post in like three weeks..lamesauce. Thanks to everyone who stuck around! I don't have a real reason, just pure laziness and some life thrown in there. I haven't done so great in the exercise/healthy eating department either.. I have been a horrible blogger with reading/commenting/responding to people so I apologize.

I couldn't possibly let another Wednesday go by without joining in with my loves Erin & Alex for Weigh in Wednesday!

I did run a virtual 5k on St Patty's day with the MLFC crew, that was fun!

I haven't done any kind of running in a while, so I followed the C25K W1D1 to do it and just did that twice.  I was very happy with my time since it had been so long.. Then as always I took a week break :) but I did W1D2 last night.


It felt pretty good, I did have some leg issues but I just attributed that to not exercising in a while.  Yesterday was also good in the eating department, I tracked everything and was under calories. My only goal for the next week is to track everything I eat. A good bonus would be to work out every other day. I do all my tracking on MFP so if you aren't already my friend, get on it!

Weigh in Wednesday

Goooooood Morning! I am in a weirdly good mood today. even though I spent all night  hoping for a snow day and I have a midterm tonight, blah. But it is what is it, so I am choosing to be positive about it. :)

Today is Weigh in Wednesday with Erin & Alex and I woke up 5 minutes before I had to be at work, so no scale picture for y'all today.  I am pretty sure it is close to what is was last week so no big change there.

Erin  is hosting a Diet Bet!! I am really excited about this.  You join the game by paying 15 dollars and then at the end of the game you split the pot as long as you lose 4% of your body weight.  The pot is over $3000!! It will be a really great motivation for me to get back on track.

Goals for this week are to log all my food, get in a gallon of water & workout 4 times.  Those basic things will help kick me in gear.

Nothing too exciting to report this week.  I had lots of tummy issues again so nothing too great in the exercise or clean eating department.  I have a doctors appointment next Tuesday so hopefully can get some answers.  I just realized that when I started taking my Metformin two years ago is when I started having a lot of issues, so that will be the big topic of the day.

Weighed in this morning...

Good golly I need a pedicure!

Up .5 pounds from last week, I'm totally ok with that knowing what I did not get done. 

Erin has a diet bet going that starts next Wednesday.  basically you pay some money and at the end of the month if you lose 4% of your body weight you split the pot! I am excited to give it a try and will hopefully be feeling better.

Also still planning on doing Jillian this month, linking up with Lora and some others to commit to doing some form of Jillian exercises.  I want to do Ripped in 30. Hope to do it tonight!
